Good Morning Mr. Dufour,
I would like to contribute my vision towards the creation of a watch that embodies attributes lacking in any design I have yet to come across. The function of telling time is not of primary interest to me. What I want is a timepiece that conveys a sense of urgency. An object to subconsciously stimulate the mind into making good use of every moment of the day.
I envision a design that forgoes the traditional dial and instead utilizes a 24 hour face that rotates with the time indicated at the 12 oâclock position. The face would use colors and material choice to indicate the ideal state of mind throughout the day. The times from 6am until 10pm would gradate towards a passionate shade of red. The night would have a comforting and relaxing blue palette. In the center, a sub-dial counting down with time illustrated in decades. Perhaps it could be set to a date 20, 50, even 100 years in the future.
It is paramount that the wearer feel motivated to be in constant pursuit of their passions. Seconds turn into years, and years into decades in the blink of an eye.
