i'm emailing on behalf of my spouse who has been a diligent employee of Ross for 4 years and have actual data to back up that statement. However it has come to our attention that current management of San Dimas is continually overstepping boundaries with employees in particular the stock associates. Due to an apparent threat of 'quitting' by the Montclair store stock associates, San Dimas has been 'punished' by forcing stock employees to continually having their set schedules readjusted to later hours (from original times of 5:15am to now 10 am - almost a 5 hour difference) with no notification to employees until they show up on premise. Now mind you also for other employees they are not even notified via call from management which leaves liability with Ross.
Now this is the State of California in which employees are protected from set changes with little notifications. Why is it fair for one city to have more of a say compared to another city? Also we are told the San Dimas stock associates are Number 1 in the region yet they continually have to face the continual discrimination by being forced to work later hours due to other stores not wanting to have their hours changed.
The change in hours is something that happens i understand, however a change of 5 hours is not acceptable for employees who have other obligations.
Ross is supposed to be an equal opportunity employer meaning that all employees should and have the right to have a say in the matter especially when its apparent Ross is only listening to very few individuals.
i will be emailing other management in the region so that this is something that is clearly brought to the attention of Ross.
Ross has been a decent company to work for however with recent management changes this has quickly been deteriorating. You as a CEO need to look at the entire company and also need to hear from those who are in essence on the bottom of the totem pole as you are the CEO and need to lead the company as a whole.
