Pamela Gezzele Gale sent a message to Michael OLeary that said:
On arriving at Stansted Airport for a flight to Perugia it was found that the flight was cancelled, due to a strike in Italy. 1. Would it not have been possible to get in touch with the passengers before hand to save them wasted journeys .
2. Could there have been more than one person on the desk, I felt VERY sorry for the only on duty because she was being besieged by a large group of unhappy passenger without any backup from management, not a good way to treat staff.
3. I asked to speak to a Manager several times and was told he/she would be down, and then a little later I was told the Manager has been down but did not bother to come and speak to me or anyone else although I was waiting at the desk.
4.We have now trying to reschedule our trip later and sadly find that Ryan Air are the only airline flying to Perugia! So are stuck with Ryanair can we even think that things will be any better for that flight!
5. I hope, probably in vain, that Mr. Michael O'Leary and contact me direct and that he will look into these problems, but probably it is rather a case of "do not hold your breath"! .
6. I suppose I should take on board how a great friend of mine at a wedding sat next to Mr. O'Leary and talked about her travel problems with his airline to which he replied that he was only interested in the money! So I hope on this occasion he will be interested in our problems and a much needed holiday for my Husband and I has been totally ruined. Pamela Gezzele Gale
