@Ryanair – Michael OLeary – Sir, having provided evidence that due to a serious health condition I am unable to

Peter Harper sent a message to Michael OLeary that said:

Sir, having provided evidence that due to a serious health condition I am unable to fly as it would affect my life threating respiration condition your customer services have refused me a refund on our flight to Tenerife on the 26th Oct, I have been in contact with my bank that states being I have had to cancel my flight owing to these conditions , that RYANAIR are legally responsible to refund me our Airport Duty Tax which you collect on behave of the Government, which you are not legally entitled to withhold, also it would be illegal for RYANAIR to try and impose a charge for this.
In conclusion one must assume that anyone forgoing there cancelled flights refund know of this Airport Duty which you must legally repay, I will advise my local MP of this to make sure every person who has been treated this way with legitimate claims for refunds knows of the Airport Duty Tax which you may have also with held . Regards . Peter .C. Harper. (WAHM). Ret.
