Mike sent a message to Mark J. Costa – Chief Executive Officer of Eastman Chemical Company – Email Address that said:
Sent: Friday, May 20, 2016 3:28 PM - I emailed your company asking for help in selecting window film. - "I want to purchase and install window film for two skylights to protect artwork. Which product do you recommend?"
Nine days later (9 days?!?) I finally got a response - "I would recommend our new Gila® 3-in-1 Heat Control Window Film."
I also called your 1-800 number. They asked if I had single or double pane windows, and then told me that since I have double pane windows I can only use the Glare reducing versions of your product, and must mount it on the outside of my window - I asked again and he reiterated that I CANNOT use your heat reducing product.
AND I chatted online with Lowes who told me to use ‘GILA 36-in W x 78-in L Platinum Heat-Control Adhesive Window Film’ on the inside. I specifically asked, “even on a double pane?” and they said “Absolutely.” I asked how the Platinum differs from the Titanium, and they could not help me.
I am totally and completely confused. I wanted to give you folks money in exchange for a product that I can use to protect the artwork on my walls. And here it is two weeks later and I still have no idea at to what product would work best, or even what product I can even use at all!
