I am currently a sophomore at Cross Keys High School working to find sponsorships for our chapter organization, SkillsUSA. SkillsUSA is a non-profit organization partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Having joined this club for the first time since starting high school, I'm currently ranking as a normal member. One of my goals I'm trying to achieve this year is moving up position to secretary of my chapter before my junior year and to become vice president of SkillsUSA held at Cross Keys High School by my senior year. In the past years my chapter has had the wonderful opportunities of attending the SkillsUSA programs several times which include local, state, and national competitions in which students demonstrate occupational and leadership skills. Last year the chapter at Cross Keys High School attended the 2015 SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference held in Louisville, Kentucky to compete in competitions and took home several medallions, as well being nationally recognized as one of the 24 Models of Excellence Chapters.
Since the beginning of our 2016 school year, many of our fundraising ideas have fallen short on raising what we need in order to be able to attend the future State and National Competition. Many of our members struggle financially without the financial aid of these fundraisers so we are currently seeking ongoing sponsors for this organization. While any amount of assistance would be greatly appreciated, here are some suggested donations and how they would help this organization.
500$ - Provides Members With T-shirts
1,000$- Trip to Championship Rally
5,000$- Trip to Fall Leadership Conference and Hotel Rooms
10,000$- State Competition and Hotel Rooms
25,000$ - National Competition and Trip To Disney World also with Hotel Rooms
