Shame on you Winn-Dixie. You are a public, American corporation yet in my store in Miami you employ non-English speaking people in front of the house, customer service positions. Shopping today, I asked questions of a stock person, a deli worker and my cashier. I did not get answers as all 3 spoke only Spanish...not one word of English. I have lived in Miami for several years and I understand a large portion of our population speak Spanish. But, there are many who speak English only, such as me and others like me, as English is the official language of our nation. Many English speaking or bi-lingual Americans are unemployed, actively seeking employment. Yet, an American corporation chooses to employ non-English speaking applicants for customer friendly positions. Shame on you, WinnDixie. I will be taking my business to "where shopping is a pleasure" from now on!
