Betty sent a message to Kevin Mansell – Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Kohl’s Corporation – Email Address that said:
Since July 12 I have been trying to get a refund from Kohl's. Store 0614 cannot help because of the amount, although I've spoken to or e-mailed Amanda and Cindi (customer service). The corporate refund department said the store provided misinformation (actually they lied) to me which led to me spending money elsewhere to get a product that store actually had.
I have shopped at Kohl's for years. I am done. The lack of training, misinformation, lack of concern over patrons and rude attitude of the department head who was concerned only over the cashier being away from her post and did not even look at me when the cashier told the department head she was trying to help me find a Keurig coffee system to replace the one I had purchased (and for which I had the box with the Kohl's tape around it .. but no receipt).
Three of my friends have already cancelled their Kohl's charge cards. I've received nearly 30 e-mails from strangers with whom my friends evidently shared my story, stating they no longer shop at Kohl's for the reasons I listed above.
You really need to change your training plan and/or staff before Kohl's joins Wards, Robinson May, The Jones Store, etc. in the annals of stores of whom no one has ever heard.
The full story will be in my Better Business Bureau complaint which I plan to file later this week, after giving your staff one last chance to send me a gift card, which I do not really want since I do not plan to return to Kohls unless I find a shelter to which I can donate items.
FYUI - I provided Cindi with some training ideas in my last conversation with her. Both Cindi and Amanda have been very nice and I believe they are truly sorry that this incident occurred. Unfortunately, because of your policy on refund amounts, their hands were tied.
