Arnold sent a message to Kevin Mansell – Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Kohl’s Corporation – Email Address that said:
Sir.
I am a 72 year old retired man who has worked hard to maintain an excellent credit rating. This last August I opened a Kohls account and charged some merchandise. When receiving the invoice my wife mistakenly paid the balance to her account of which she still has a credit. When I received the overdue notice I called to discuss the situation. The person I discussed this with saw the error and my wife immediately corrected this. Now we are purchasing a home to learn my credit report has been lowered due to your report of a past due payment. Our interest rate increased because of this. This is just plain wrong. If anyone in your organization cared then this would not
have happened! I would like this report removed from all three of the reporting agencies, as we were under the impression that the issue was resolved and the payment was to be moved to the correct account.
