Sir , I am writing out of frustration. I have an 86yo father in poor health and I am his DPOA. All his banking is with Citizens.
So here is my problem I went to the bank to provide the documents that I am now the person in charge of my fathers interests. The asst. manager gave me such a hard time. Demanded a death cert. for my mother , wanted copies of my divorce decrees, and proff of when I dropped my hyphernated name. I told her since I was a bank customer she could see the trail of when those events happened. Still not good enough for her. She had advice on how my lawyer should prpare documents, because in her words"This is very messy", so now she is a lawyer too.
I then went over her head to the bank manager that assured me that I would have access yesterday. But that still didn't happen.
I have to pay his bills, this is ridiculous. I am at odds end. So this is why I am writing you. I do not know where to turn.
I am on the fringe of trying to go to the press to see if they can do a story on how not to get the run around by your bank.
Please Please Please help this is getting ridiculous.
