Patti sent a message to Tony Thomas – President and Chief Executive Officer of Windstream Communications – Email Address that said:
Sir,
I wrote you several months ago about the issues I am having with my internet. Someone called and said they were going to work with me to get this issue resolved. They went through everything with me and said they felt our issues were on an outside line, but they wanted to send a tech just to check our inside line. A gentleman named Tony came and checked the inside and said everything was working fine. He called and had them reset our modem, which I explained that our system always worked good for about a day when this has been reset. I also explained that I have had issues ever since our phone line went dead and it gets windy or rainy. He said that if the reset didn't work just to let him know and he would come back and look at our line and I think he said replace a pin. He gave me his number so I could call him directly. I contacted him and explained our internet still wasn't working correctly. He said he would com and check the outside line and do something with the pin (at least that is what I think he called it). He was to call me when he came to do this. I never received a call, so over Labor Day weekend I contacted him again. He asked if he could come to our home on Sunday. I told him that would be fine and we scheduled for noon because I had a prior event. I made sure I was home by noon, but he never showed. I called him at 1 and he said he was on another job, but would be finished within an hour or two and would come here afterwards. I waited until about 5 p.m. And called again. He said he didn't think he would be able to make it but he was going to be working on Labor Day (the following day) and could he come at 8 a.m. I changed my plans to be here at 8 am and again, he did not show. I called him and this time he didn't answer his phone. I asked him to give me a return call and waited for a couple of hours. He didn't return my call. I called back and left a message that if he didn't want to continue to work on my issue could he at least give me a call and let me know that he didn't want to continue. I told him if I didn't hear from him by the following day that I would be going out of the country and I would just get with Windstream when I returned. As of today my internet is still very spotty. I have never heard from Tony again and to be quite honest, I would rather not hear from him. It is very frustrating to have someone schedule appointments and then the person doesn't have the common courtesy to cancel the appointment. I know you are probably sick of hearing complaints, and I am really sorry to write you again, but I honestly do not know what to do. The gentleman that called me originally was keeping in touch with me, but he quit calling. I think it is because he thought Tony would get my issues resolved and I hadn't called and complained with Windstream. I totally understand why he didn't call back. I just actually thought Tony would work on my issue till it was resolved, but that wasn't the case. Again, I don't know what the issue is, but I do know it has to be with my outside line. Is there nothing that can be done to the line to resolve this issue? I really appreciate you taking the time once again to read my email and any assistance you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Patti
