Sir: have seen your advertisements on TV. I compliment you on not using – J. Clifford Hudson email address

John sent a message to J. Clifford Hudson Chairman and CEO, Sonic Corp. that said:

Sir: I have seen your advertisements on TV. I compliment you on not using a well known athlete and paying them 7 figures to endorse your company/products. Now for the bad news: Your ads are horrible, and I mean every one of them with the two guys who sit in the car. They are stale, they're not funny at all and you're wasting precious air time and money when you should be focusing on why people should visit your restaurants. A good lesson to learn would be to watch some of the Subway ads. They typically stick to things like how many grams this sandwich has or emphasize the specials for the month. Those are effective and draw people in. Thought you should know.
