Robert sent a message to Stephen Burke CEO, NBCUniversal, Inc. that said:
Stephen,
I would greatly appreciate a telephone call from you or another corporate officer with a call-back number- no passing the buck of shuffling my message to one of the useless customer service associates.
If I do not receive a call within 24 hours with a direct call-back number, I will cancel my services and not pay the cancellation fee since the contract I entered into was misleading (see below):
The price of my original non-contractual package nearly doubled, so I called and established a 2-year contract for a less expensive package with more channels. The sales person never informed me that adult movies were played on Showtime (which was included in the package), so I called to switch back to the original package. It is against my religious beliefs to have such movies on the channel despite the locking features. The customer service associate informed me that switching would constitute breaking the contract and I would then be required to pay a $200+ cancellation fee. A different customer service associate then stated she found a way to keep me in the contract by switching packages to a package that would include the original channel line-up that was in my first package (and, no adult movies), so she stated that it will be done immediately. After two days since then I still do not the channels the customer service associate promised I would. Whenever I called, they hang-up on me after which I would call Comcast back and begin the entire process again of spending an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue that is never resolved. I wrote to the CEO twice after which no one spoke with me to resolve anything. It is the first customer service associateâs fault that she misinformed me about the line-up; thus, I should not be required to be in a contract. I am requested Comcast to remove me from the contract and switch to a package that has my original line-up which includes Spike TV and no movie channels. I shouldnât be punished for something that is so clearly Comcastâs fault, responsibility, and accountability.
Thank you,
Robert
