Hello Brian,
I am writing you today to make you aware of the behaviors of the "LODs" in your store in Watauga, Texas. Never in my life have I been spoken to the way I was today. I went into the store to try to price match a $99 item. There was a site that had the item listed at $29.99. When I asked the gentleman in electronics if I could do that he told me absolutely not, but he would call and LOD to the counter to see if they can find me the lowest price they could match it at. I waited over by the item for an LOD to arrive. Much to my surprise, 4 Target employees walked up to me. I made a comment to them about not ambushing me, and 2 of them walked away. I was left there with 2 LODs, one of which I can only assume was in training. I assumed this because she piggy backed off of everything the other girl would say to me. When I showed them the item online she immediately said, "Well hang on a second. We don\'t price match items that were out of stock!" WOW... during the 20 minute wait for someone to come and help me the item had sold out online. UNBELIEVEABLE! After that comment, she was pretty much done with me and did not want to hear anything else I had to say. I even asked to see their price match policy. I know I can find this online, but I wanted to know what she would say if I asked. Then she continued to tell me that the website was not a retailer and she wouldn\'t have cone it anyways. Never once did she offer to look up a price that she could match or offer an alternative solution. She shut me down right away, which I know was what her intent was before she even came over. That is why she came with a whole posse of Target workers. Was this necessary? No. Will I shop at that Target again? Absolutely not. In fact, I\'m calling today to cancel my Target card. I will not continue to spend money in places that treat their customers this way. I wish I could have captured her name before I left. Both of the LODs had dark hair. There was a short girl and a tall girl. The short girl with lots of makeup is the one with the horrific attitude, tall one is the follower. Completely unprofessional and a horrible way to handle any type of situation. I left so upset by the way I was treated that I called the store to speak with the store manager as soon as I left. I asked the operator if the branch manager was in and she told me yes. I was placed on hold and then one of the "LODs" came on the line. I said, "no, I don\'t want to speak with you, I want to speak to the store manager." She told me he was not in today. (which the person who answered said he was) On top of the outrageously awful customer service, they LIED to me and made a complete joke out of the situation. I was a manager in high end retail for 7 years. Never in that 7 years would I have employed individuals with such disregard for courtesy and such high disrespect for customers. I am disappointed, and I cannot continue to support a company with employees that make customers feel the way I felt today when I left your store.
