Hello We had our 2008 Suzuki SX4 in for a Pennsylvania state inspection. At the NTB location at 2000 Greentree road Pittsburgh pa 15220. Upon inspection they found that the right guide arm and ball joint needed replaced. They suggested I do both. I told them to go head and do what needs to be done. They are claiming I said just do what will pass inspection. I did not. After unknowingly only getting the right side replaced along with 4 tires and front brakes, I drove the car approximately 5 miles home. Less than 24 hours later my fiancee drove about 4 mi to work in downtown Pittsburgh and drove home after. While pulling into our driveway the left side guide arm and ball joint broke and broke the axle in the process. This was just inspected less than 24 hours ago, how could it possibly pass inspection and then fail the very next day? This is negligence on their part. We are extremely lucky it didn't happen on a highway.
We got the car towed back to NTB yesterday and in order to fix something that was caused by their negligence, they are going to charge us nearly $600 more dollars and that is discounted because they agreed they should have replaced the guide arm and ball joint so they said they will cover that but the won't cover the axle that broke only because they made a mistake.
I have reached out to both the store and the corporate phone number to get this fixed. I just received a phone call back from the store manager Jacob Troup and he informed me that corporate agrees with him that the best he can do is to charge us another $470 to fix their mistake. We are not happy about this. The store and my family is luck we are just trying to get fixed to no charge to us instead of having a criminal negligence homicide complaint lodge agaist them.
