The heated seat on my 2012 venza awd suddenly stopped working . The dealership said it – Akio Toyoda email address

Cindy sent a message to Akio Toyoda President and CEO, Toyota Motor Corporation that said:

The heated seat on my 2012 venza awd suddenly stopped working . The dealership said it is a connection issue power coming from the source but not out of control box under seat box appeared damaged . It would cost over 2000$ to repair as seat must be replaced in total - why could the control box not be separate ?How common is this in the car ? Is there a safety factor ? He said I could get an "after market seat " from another company ? He said he has never seen it before ,I don't understand how something under my seat gets damaged as I am the main driver . Has this problem in the design been addressed so in the future the consumer does not incur a 2000 $ plus bill to replace a leather seat in otherwise good condition? Thank you Cindy Boudreau
