DEBORAH KEELER sent a message to Christopher Swift that said:
I am hoping you will be able to answer questions dealing with our Hartford insurance .
My husband , Charles Keeler , has car insurance with your company and we have our home insured with Hartford for many years .
Under the car insurance we had my husband , our oldest daughter and as of this past May our youngest daughter.
We paid for the whole year 11/17 - 11/2018 in full .
Within in the last two months due to the very high cost of the insurance , over seven thousand dollars just for car insurance , we removed my husbands BMW , returned the plates to DMV and faxed the paper work to our agent .
The MAZDA which was driven by our oldest daughter needed to be junked , again plates were returned to DMV and paper work sent to the agent .
Within a week we received what could be called a threatening letter from Hartford demanding over seven hundred dollars due on the junked MAZDA.
My husband called Hartford and was told he had to pay the over seven hundred dollar amount .
QUESTION , we paid for the full year why would we need to pay an extra seven hundred dollars ?
Our oldest did have a DWI THREE YEARS AGO , and the rates for her had jumped but again was paid for . She has had no other problems since .
Please look into this matter .
