Dear Ms. Meyrowitz
I am a 72 year old stroke victim who loves shopping at your store. You could say itâs my favorite ! However since my stroke which paralyzed my left side and has left me walking with a walker I canât stand for long periods of time. The visits to your store are one of the few outings I enjoy that let me leave the house, however it is a struggle. I have a few suggestions for making it easier for handicapped to shop at your store.
Iâm happy that you have the designated area for handicapped to walk up at the register. However because there is no large visible signage I often have people glaring at me for âcuttingâ the line and I am embarrassed. If there was a hanging sign from above that said handicapped that was more visible for other people to see it would be helpful. Also if maybe you could have a couple of electric scooters to assist for people who canât walk or stand for long periods it would be wonderful. More and more stores have these available and it makes such a huge difference in the lives of people who canât navigate on their own and even allow them to better leave the house.
I hope these suggestions are things that you can implement. I do hope that I can continue shopping at your store for more years to come.
Sincerely,
Fong Su Chen
