Joel sent a message to Edward Lampert Chairman and CEO of Sears Holdings Email Address that said:
To Edward Lampert:
Hi, my name is Joel and I am employed by Kmart in Puerto Rico. I am grateful for the opportunity I was offered and proud to work for more than two years. I want to share my concerns with you, and encourage you to improve the expectations of the company. I make this message, for a personal reason, and with a humble desire to contribute to solving the problems I observed.
There are two core points that must be addressed promptly. The first is to restructure the process of buying to one easier and faster, for both, the employee and the customer. No statistical data is needed to visit at any time, any stores established across from Puerto Rico to observe the customers discomfort in the process of buying. Once this happens, could double sales, cash flow increases, fewer employees are needed to perform the same task and increases customer satisfaction. This accompanied by a media campaign can generate a new and efficient image of Sears Holding Corp Kmart.
The second key point is the offers. I recognize that in the actual economic situation is hard to make changes. But you can make a study according to a certain demographic area and customize determined offers. Sets policy of less, but the best and lower prices in the market.
Ensuring customer buying faster, with fewer obstacles and that the offer they get is the most competitive.
I have a deep respect for the company and you as CEO. My greatest wish is that the company can recover and achieve sustained development.
-Joel
