To Whom It May Concern, My name is Donald . After serving this gre – Joseph H. Boardman email address

Donald sent a message to Joseph H. Boardman CEO, Amtrak that said:

To Whom It May Concern, My name is Donald. After serving this great country in the United States Army I began my career with CSX on February 15, 1969, as a switchman. Two years later, I became a Locomotive Engineer and retired from that position in 1990. For over 20 years I was a committed, trust worthy and proud employee of CSX. During this tenure, I also operated Amtrak locomotives. I am simply writing this letter because since my retirement 24 years ago I have missed the career that afforded me to purchase my first home, provide for my wife and daughters and see so many different parts of the eastern seaboard from my engineer’s seat.At 70 years old I would love nothing more than to have the opportunity to ride in the cab of a locomotive again. I have always had an affinity for trains. As a little boy growing up in south Georgia, I could hear the train horn from my house and would race to the railroad crossing to see the trains barrel down the tracks. Please accept this letter as my official request for permission for myself and Kenny Lester (also a retired CSX/Amtrak Locomotive Engineer) to ride in the cab of an Amtrak locomotive from Savannah to Jacksonville. This opportunity would be a dream come true for two railroad retirees granted by a company that we love and trust so much. I can be contacted via email . Thank you in advance! Donald
