Guy sent a message to Michael D. White, President, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer DIRECTV, Inc. that said:
To whom it may concern
My name is Guy and on Feb 25, 2016 I contacted customer service about an increase in my bill. In Dec. of 2015 I spoke to customer service about my bill being to high. I was recently diagnosed with cancer and had to go on Social Security. They were very helpful and since I had been a customer since 2009 they helped and got by bill reduced to 44.05. stated that my bill would be 44.05 for the next 12 months. Hopefully by then thing would be better. My bill that came in Jan was for 44.05 but when I received a bill in Feb it had gone up to 51.10. I was told for 12 months one price but then after 1 month it got increased. called and spoke with customer service on Feb 25, 2016 and they politely told me there was nothing they could do. I asked why when I was told that my price would be 44.05 for 12 months but it increased after only 1 month they said we can increase services anytime. I was just wondering why Direct TV feels they don't have to honor agreements but they expect customers to honor agreements when they sign up for service. I know 7.05 is not a lot of money but when you live on Social Security and it never goes up but the price of medical insurance goes up and food 7.05 adds up.
You might not get this and might not seem like a big deal but I just felt I had to write.
Thanks You
Guy
