Att: Kevin Mansell - CEO

Gentlemen;

Today I went into your store to exchange a pair of boots I purchased approximately two weeks ago, for my wife’s Christmas gift. I was told and given an exchange credit for the amount of which I paid for these boots in the amount of $ 53.56.
This was a result of receiving a 20 % discount at the time of the initial purchase.
When I worked with an associate to order the correct boot size on the Kiosk – we then discovered the new amount was not going to match my original purchase amount. It would actually cost more? I was now going to pay $59.40 (only after this associate offered me an 15 % discount.) GO FIGURE?

What is troubling to me is that these boots as I returned to Kohls (in the exchange) I was paid by Kohls an amount of $ 53.56 were now placed back onto the shelf and as I was standing there I witnessed another customer picked them up to purchase!

I truly resent this and believe this is entirely unfair and poor customer service!
At a minimum Kohls should have allowed my exchange to be for the original paid cost; allowing I and my Wife to remain as happy customers and preventing my spending time to write this letter. This you would have expected - during these holiday time of “giving”.

Because of my disappointment, as I have expressed to my wife, whom shops at Kohl’s quite frequently and this will now cease.

Donald
