Sam Humphries sent a message to Tony Thomas that said:
Since our last bout of severe weather I have had several instances of telephone outage. From the view point of a retired GTE/Verizon employee in Lexington, KY I am more that disappointed in Windstream service. My first outage, blamed on the storm, had a dead line and people getting "You have reached a non working number". That was not storm related from my experience but a switch disconnect that placed that recording on my line>
The second outage, not about 3 days is a noise on my line that is caused by a physical problem in
Windstream outside plant. I have tested the service line at the NID and found the problem in your plant.
No one seems to care at your company. I have heard about your repair service personnel being from the Dominion Republic. I have been told that I needed to disconnect my DSL modem that was powered down at the time. I was refused the opportunity to talk to someone higher in authority.
Windstream does not carry on the trust that customers had with GTE and Verizon.
Thanks for listening. I doubt that it will do any good..
