Dawn sent a message to Terry J. Lundgren- Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Macys, Inc. – email address that said:
Tried to order a pair of earrings in yellow gold. Macy's sent me white gold and one was damaged. Sent them back and got an acknowledgement that I'd sent them back, but still haven't been credited for the first refund. Ordered them again, in yellow gold. I have the e-mail receipts for both orders, proving I had, indeed, ordered YELLOW GOLD. Got the 2nd attempt to order them via UPS today. Imagine my surprise to find white gold earrings in the box again. Imagine my FURTHER surprise when I called Macy's customer service and through broken English from some little Asian bird chirping cheerily on the other and and obviously completely unconcerned with my displeasure, when she informed me, (cheerfully), that I had ordered white gold. Twice. Imagine my complete and utter irritation when I told here I was LOOKING at my e-mail receipts for BOTH orders, and BOTH said "YELLOW GOLD." Guess what she said? She said her systems show that I ordered white gold.
Imagine how quickly I told her I am not interested in ordering the earrings AGAIN when she asked me which credit card I'd be using? I haven't seen a refund from the FIRST attempt, let alone the second, and Macy's wants to charge me AGAIN?
I will never order from Macy's again. Used to be a good company. Now it appears to have been very neatly outsourced into a crap experience. If I want that, I'll move to Malaysia.
