I ordered a Nor\'easter Gore-Tex Long Men\'s Coat. I was told that the coat was on back order. Since that date I have been given numerous dates as to when to expect delivery. I did not keep a log as to names, dates, times, or titles of the persons that I spoke to. I didn\'t think I had to! Just this past week, Either November 12th or 13th I called again and was told the coat had arrived. I asked when I could expect delivery and was told either this Wednesday November 18th or Thursday November 19th. On Saturday November 14th I received an email that the coat was still on back order. I called L.L.Bean again and this time I did write down names, dates, and times. Yesterday November 15th I spoke to Robin H. and Cathy (5022) and was told that what I was told was wrong. The coat was, is still on back order and that delivery would not be as expected. At that time I cancelled the order!
I have bought numerous items in the past online. Items as large as chest freezers to items as small as athletic socks. I ordered a vertical blind door wall for the patio (the track was damaged) and it was immediately replaced. In all of that time customer service was exceptional! I cannot say this about L.L.Bean! I hope this is not typical L.L.Bean service. Needless to say I will not be a future customer nor recommend you! I don\'t know what you can do but I hope that future customers don\'t have to experience this
