Unfortunately this is the only way I could email you., I hope it finds its way to you. My son is an employee. He is a hard worker who loves his job. Last night he was robbed at gunpoint. He works in the store at I30 and Buckner in Dallas. I have owned at risk business in marginal neighborhoods for quite some time (Bars). Today I paid the store a visit, which would have horrified my 20 year old independent son, but I am a Dad. I would like to make two suggestions that would help make your employees safer and more secure, that can only lead to them being a better employee. First, the entrance door should have an electronic lock that can be unlocked from behind the counter. This allows for a visual inspection during peak danger hours. Secondly a panic button behind the counter. It will only trigger an alarm with the police thereby not alerting the thief. I would appreciate your consideration of these changes, Im sure you feel as I do, that employees are the most valuable asset to any business and we as leaders must take every reasonable step to ensure their safety.
Thank you,
