Hi, my name is Christina and I am a Oakland County, Michigan resident who was hit by a UPS truck as it was backing up on our street last Weds. Thanks be to God, myself and my 3 young children who were in our minvan at the time of the collision are fine, but our car was damaged. (The shop estimated our minivan will take 3-3 1/2 weeks for repair); the UPS driver was cited by the police after the accident for improper backing. We do not have another vehicle our family can drive in together with our children, and therefore are completely without a family car. I have talked to the local UPS regional office several times, and the top manager (Chris Shanahan) there is not able to help. They said they could not provide me with contact information for a person higher up. Meanwhile, the UPS insurance company, Liberty Mutual told me they are not required to get us a rental car for our family to drive in. At this point, no one I have contacted at UPS is able to help make our family whole, they all have stated it is up to the insurance company, who are not legally responsible for a rental vehicle. I understand that the insurance company will not help, but I have to think there is someone at UPS corporation, the world\'s largest package delivery company, who cares enough to help our family, and make us whole while we do not have a family vehicle. Please assist, yesterday was a week since we were hit and without a car we can all drive in! Christina Kosmas (248-840-5387)
