@USAA – Stuart Parker – Dear Sir, I am an Army veteran and a member of USAA for over 30

RICHARD DONICA sent a message to Stuart Parker that said:

Dear Sir,

I am an Army veteran and a member of USAA for over 30 years. In 1999 I purchased a vacation home in Corolla, NC on the Outer Banks. I insured it with USAA as a rental property. This year it was removed as a rental property and I called USAA to change the insurance to a vacation home. Bottom line the insurance increased by over $1400. I asked how could this be? I was told that USAA treats vacation homes as primary residences and that I was being charged for things that I only have in my primary residence. The primary coverage dropped from $400,000 to $388,000 BUT the personal property increased to $190,000 from $60,000. I was being charged for an office that does not exist, fraudulent credit cards, a contract with the fire dept., $40,000 for an additional structure that does not exist and on it goes. I am hoping that USAA can resolve this issue and structure the policy to fit the existing conditions as a vacation home.

Thank you for taking the time to read this
