I am a 28 year employee, just retired 5/1. I have been waiting to have my retirement party, but because of Covid, haven't been able to have one. I was a work at home employee for my last 4 years, so planned to do an off site party. I called HR to ask about cashing out for it and I will just host multiple small gatherings for my retirement. I was told no, since I'm already retired, no retirement party. I just have to say I think that is so not right. 28 years, giving my very best for my company. And in the end, that doesn't matter. Everything that's been done for our membership during these terrible times (I am also a member), but not for a retired employee. Too bad for me to retire during a pandemic. Just sad.
