Good Afternoon Mr. Andrew Cecere,
My name is Sean, I am currently a member of U.S. Bank personal banking services. Additionally, I am a Veteran of the United States Army having received an honorable discharge after the completion of my Services to the Government and the People of our Country. Recently, as of 02March2020 against the recommendations of my friends and other banks I unfortunately decided to trust and open an account in addition to setting up a secured credit card with your bank. Though the customer service I was provided in the branch located in Sacramento, California by your banker Jose Ernesto De Armas was beyond exceptional, and regardless of the guarantees as to the time I was to receive my Secured Credit Card with my own funds on it was anything but. I was told that approximately a week after I applied and gave the considerable amount of money in the extremely high amount of $300.00 to the bank that the process would be approved, and within a week of the application approval that my funds would be available approximately by today 20Mar2020. This simply is not so. In light of the corona virus and shelves very quickly running out of food stock, in addition to the quarantine measures beginning to be put into place by the government I attempted to find a way to access my own personal money that I earned as an Infantryman in the Army in the emergency I am facing right now in these trying times, I was coldly denied by the system your bank has in place, and my levels of desperation are rising. Because I am a new customer I cannot access your "simple loan," because I have a bit higher debt-to-income ratio that occurred in my early adult/late teenage years I cannot get a personal loan from your bank, and because of the same reason i cannot get any other credit card for this emergency. Regardless of my extreme state of desperation for my own money that I personally earned through a very strenuous and stressful field of work, I was told there was nothing anyone can do as that is the way the system is set up to not care about the needs of its members but only to make money for the bank. I believe that this is a fundamental flaw in your operating system and should be very quickly rectified. People should be able to access their own funds in emergencies especially when they were told via a verbal contract that they would be able to, even if they do not have their already approved card yet. Having fought for my country, Integrity is my absolute highest value and I'll very likely be leaving your bank because as shown by this experience it is not the current banking operating systems highest value. We want our money in the hands of a financial institution we can trust. As CEO, I do believe that you have the power to correct this fundamental error with the Integrity of your banks operating system and the way it conducts business at severe detriment to itself, and its members, but will you? I understand I am simply one Veteran who has fought for our Country among many and in no way have a bank account even close to .00001% close or comparable to your own, however, I was hoping that maybe Integrity was one of your personal highest values as well and that you cared about your banks members. I humbly ask that you get back to me with your decision about correcting this issue that I've personally even thought of solutions for. Do it if not out of respect for my serving our Country and fighting for everyone's rights and freedoms including your own, but as another human being on this planet.

Respectfully,
Sean S.
