Scott Holmes sent a message to Lowell McAdam that said:
I would like to file a formal written complaint against Verizon Wireless. On Monday, April 6, 2020, I called Verizon Wireless after my cellphone was not working properly. Your company diagnosed the issue as an old simm card. Verizon Wireless is sending one to me at no charge. Your company also informed me that if I wanted the phone repaired quicker, I could take it to my local Verizon Store. Being a first responder, I wanted to see if I could get my phone repaired as soon as possible. We are only talking about a Simm Card. I went to the store located on Airport Road, Allentown, Pa. An employee cracked the door and informed me that unless I had either an appointment or was returning something, their was nothing they could do. I explained that my phone was a simple fix, and that the Verizon Customer Service suggested that I bring my phone to the store for quicker service. There were 4 employees in the store doing absolutely nothing. The trip was a waste of my time. I was informed that I had to call the 1-800 number to make an appointment. But they were not doing anything at this time. I understand that their is a pandemic. But this is unacceptable. I don't know why the store is open if it is not supplying customer service. I wasn't there to buy anything. I just wanted my phone repaired. I just hope that I don't need the phone while I am responding to an emergency call.
