Today I attempted to pay my bill that was due today. Showed $0 balance. Attempted to use virtual assistant and it stated my account was in collections. How could that be if no past due balance? I was placed on a deferred payment plan for the outstanding balance as of yesterday - which was the balance not due today. I have spent no less than 4 hours today on the phone and instant messaging for a resolution. I'm being told I can't be taken off the plan. I NEVER requested it although a letter sent to me states "Because you notified us that you were impacted as result of COVID19" That is a lie! I never contacted and the rep admitted today I was automatically placed on the plan. I still made the July payment so I'm showing a negative balance. They are refusing to take me off the deferred plan I NeVER requested but they said I "might" be able to opt out after the August bill. I find it hard to believe I can't be taken off a plan I didn't request. I don't appreciate being listed as "COLLLECTIONS" status when I don't have a past due balance. Please help
