This last holiday I bought $350 worth of Darden gift cards for my relatives. One of the reason I got the cards was that they are good at most Darden restaurants. I had purchased the gift cards at a local Olive Garden since it was conveniently nearby. Another incentive to purchase these gift cards was the bonus cards. Tonight I was eating dinner at a Season 52 restaurant and was told by the manager after we had eaten that the bonus cards could only be used at Olive Garden. I was surprised since these were bonus cards on Darden gift cards that could be used at any Darden. So why was I limited to only Olive Garden on the bonus cards. This makes no sense and makes me feel a victim of Darden corporate technicalities. I was also upset that the Season 52 manager did have managerial latitude to assist with my complaint.
