James sent a message to Terry J. Lundgren- Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Macys, Inc. email address that said:
We live on San Juan Island in Washington state and want to express our dissatisfaction with the service we received from Macy's. We purchased a mattress set on 2/24/16 and paid at that time for the mattress set,a $200 delivery fee and a $25 removal fee. We were told at the time that delivery would be 3/21/16. We went back to the store on 3/16/16 and were told everything was ok for the 21st. So today we called to check on delivery and were told the order was canceled because you no longer deliver to San Juan Island. We received absolutely no notification of this and if we had not called we would still be sitting here waiting for our purchases. In addition, we purchased a $240 sheet set from a different vendor to fit this mattress. We are not interested in a simple refund and want the mattress set we purchased in good faith. Their are other freight companies that deliver to San Juan Island. Hopefully you will help us resolve this matter and we look forward to your reply. Thank you for your help.
