We were the victims of a catastrophic event in our lives which occurred April 30, 2013.- Hubert Joly email address

Nancy sent a message to Hubert Joly President and CEO, Best Buy – email address that said:

We were the victims of a catastrophic event in our lives which occurred April 30, 2013. We were flooded out of our condo for 231 days, 7.7 months. We were relocated to 2 hotels, and our mail was not delivered to us from Best Buy. I would call Best Buy each month regarding not receiving the bill and make a minimum payment attempting to have Best Buy send the bill to the correct address 2870 Pharr Court South NW #710, Atlanta, GA 30305. After months of calling and being told by Best Buy (Citi) that is the address the bills were being sent I went to the PostMaster in Atlanta. After waiting 6.30 hours to see him, he showed me on the bills which I did receive (on or after the due date-many I never received) that Best Buy was not addressing correctly and would send to 2870 Pharr Ct S NW Atlanta, GA 30305. He explained that we have 4,000 delivery postal workers in zip code 30305. The system does not read CT S NW and it goes into an "Undeliverable" bin. When the 4,000 postal delivery people in zip 30305 complete their routes before their shift is over they manually go through and IF they recognize the CT S NW will pull it out and deliver. If they do not recognize it, it is not delivered. As a result of Best Buy (Citi) error, the catastrophic flooding, and upon our return home (after 7.7 months), my husband then had 2 major surgeries. I have written and been turned down by an S. Greene and Marty Golden for some help regarding the huge interest rate which has been added to our account balance. The response was if we would pay $1,008.02 within 10 days the interest would be removed. Having explained to them our inability to pay such a large amount in 10 days, and desiring to have it divided into 6 or 12 payments, they said they would no longer discuss with me and I needed to talk to Credit Counseling or declare bankruptcy. I am writing to you and requesting from you as the president and CEO to reexamine our request. I would be delighted to speak with you personally about our situation. I have been told by these folks that you do not speak to the customers. We have a non profit religious organization which reaches the high school and college age young people and families. My husband is 75 and I am 71. We ALWAYS pay our bills, and interest for any money we have borrowed. However, given the catastrophic events which have occurred, your company's reputation, and our desire to pay you what is owed, but in a reasonable amount of time, I feel sure you would want to work out with me a win-win situation. In business I have found when everyone operates in Good Faith and not with a I win- you lose mentality, all involved come away from the transaction winners. I can be reached Thank you for your time and consideration. Sincerely, Nancy
