Dear Mr. Burdick,
I have a 7 year old son on the autism spectrum. He requires ABA therapy on a regular basis. Unfortunately, Florida requires him to be part of T21/Medicare in order to receive affordable benefits. No individual private insurance will cover it. Also unfortunately, now that we live in Pasco County my son was assigned to Wellcare. He previously had Staywell and Amerigroup. He hasn't received any therapy for over a week now because (according to Dr. Dillon at Full Spectrum) you haven't paid them since October 2019. My son has his approval. His therapists have their approval. Yet, somewhere something got screwed up. This is unacceptable. Please fix it immediately. Wellcare/Madicare takes my premium without fail the first of every month. I do not want to get an attorney involved because then nobody wins except the attorney. But if the problem is system wide within Wellcare (Full Spectrum says it is) perhaps a class action would be necessary. Our children should never have to suffer because of bureaucratic mess ups. Please fix this immediately.
