On Tuesday, May 5th we purchased a Whirlpool 25 cubic ft French Door Refrigerator from Home Depot in Waltham, MA. The model number is WRX7355SDHZ; the serial number is KX1112361. It was delivered on Monday May 11th. It operated well for approximately 2.5 weeks. Then it did not keep the enclosed items adequately cold. We called 800 253 1301 and spoke with Jason who said the the refrigerator must be level. We checked and the refrigerator was level. It operated marginally when we reset the power supply but it was sufficient. Two weeks later it began making strange loud noises and eventually turned itself off. We tried the same trick as before but it did not work. We called again on Monday, June 29th and was told to wait two weeks. Since this was an impossible request, we contacted a local appliance service man who said the refrigerator needs to be replaced.
We are requesting that Whirlpool replace the refrigerator and honor the warranty issued with the refrigerator.
