Pam sent a message to Ronald D. Boire – Chief Executive Officer of Barnes Noble, Inc. – Email Address that said:
Why I will NOT be placing my order of $39.67 with Barnes Noble and will go to Amazon: I have just spent 20 of the most aggravating minutes of my life on the phone with a woman in your online Customer Service Area. In my opinion she did not speak intelligible English, nor did she understand online ordering or your business. She also did not connect me with her Supervisor or Manager when I requested to speak to either of them. My question was simple. Why does the online checkout show me as owing $8.97 Shipping for an order $14.67 over your minimum for free shipping? She NEVER answered that question in the 20 minutes I was on the phone with her.
I am sure that I am not the first person to be so angry and turned off by your Customer Service. You could take lessons from Amazon. I don't care where you get your Customer Service agents from, it should be a job requirement that they speak intelligible English and KNOW YOUR SYSTEM AND ORDERING PROCESS!!!
