Mary Anne Moore sent a message to Marvin R. Ellison - President of J. C. Penney Company Inc.- email address that said:
Yesterday I went to order something on JCP.com. When trying to place the order it alerted me that my credit card had expired. Apparently from the time I previously order to now, my expiration date had changed. I entered both the date and verification code, and hit save. It came back and said that I needed to correct the items in red. There was nothing in red. I tried a few more times, thinking I had entered the data incorrectly. Eventually it locked my out of the account. I received an email to reset the password and tried again with the same results. I called customer support and they told me no one there could address the issue, but they could take my order and put in a complaint. Then all of a sudden we were cut off. They never called back. So, since I really wanted to order, I called again. Same result they had no idea who I should talk to. So, I placed my order and she said that would take care of my problem. However, when I went back in to check on my card, it was still the old expiration date. I now cannot order from JCP.com as it will not let me fix the issue. From being in IT for 46 years before I retired, I realize it is a software bug. But, since they did not seem to get what my problem is, I am sure the complaint, it submitted, will not help them fix the problem. I cannot believe I am the only one having this problem. It was very frustrating, and customer service did not help. I just hope that what they order for me is correct.
