Abigail Pierrepont "Abby" Johnson[3] (born December 19, 1961) is an American businesswoman. Since 2014, Johnson is President and Chief Executive Officer of US investment firm Fidelity Investments (FMR),[6] and chairman of its international sister company Fidelity Worldwide Investment (FIL).
Fidelity was founded by her grandfather Edward C. Johnson II. Her father Edward C. "Ned" Johnson III remains Chairman of FMR. As of March 2013, the Johnson family owned a 49% stake in the company.
Johnson's wealth of approximately $13 billion[2] makes her one of the world's wealthiest women. In 2015, she was ranked as the 19th most powerful woman in the world according to Forbes.[7]
