Dr. Giovanni Caforio, age 53, serves as Chairman of Bristol-Myers Squibb’s Board of Directors.
Dr. Caforio has been our Chief Executive Officer since May 2015. He was our Chief Executive Officer Designate from January to May 2015, our Chief Operating Officer from June 2014 to May 2015, and he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer from November 2013 to June 2014.
From October 2011 to November 2013, he served as President, U.S. He held the position of Senior Vice President, Global Commercialization and Immunology from May 2010 to October 2011. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, Oncology, U.S. and Global Commercialization from March 2009 to May 2010.
From January 2007 to March 2009 he served as Senior Vice President, U.S. Oncology and from May 2004 to January 2007, he served as Senior Vice President, European Marketing and Brand Commercialization.
Dr. Caforio is a member of the Board of Trustees of Hun School of Princeton and a member of the Business Roundtable, CEO Roundtable on Cancer and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
