Ho Ching was appointed Chief Executive Officer on 1 January 2004. Ho first joined Temasek as Director in January 2002 and then became its Executive Director in May 2002.[2]
Temasek Holdings (abbreviated as Temasek) is an investment company owned by the Government of Singapore. Incorporated in 1974, Temasek has a multinational team of over 450 people. Temasek owns and manages a net portfolio of S$215 billion[3] (US$173 billion) as at 31 March 2013, mainly in Singapore and Asia.[4] It is an active shareholder and investor, and its portfolio covers a broad spectrum of sectors including financial services, telecommunications, media and technology, transportation and industrials, life sciences, consumer, real estate, as well as energy and resources.
