John Borthwick is the CEO of Betaworks, which he co-founded in 2007 with Andy Weissman. Prior to launching Betaworks, John was CEO of Fotolog. Before Fotolog John was SVP of Technology and Alliances at Time Warner Inc.
Betaworks is a startup studio and seed stage venture capital company based in New York City[1][2][3][4] that invests in network-focused, consumer-facing[vague] media businesses.
On July 12, 2012, the Digg brand, website and technology were sold to Betaworks, for an estimated $500,000, to be developed by the News.me team, also owned by Betaworks.
