Kai Johan Jiang is a Swedish businessman and company operator with business interests in Sweden and China. In 2004, Jiang founded State Power (Dragon Power Company), a Chinese energy company active in the sustainable energy sources, mainly biomass. He is the CEO of State Power Group.
Jiang is CEO of National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB (NEVS), formed in 2012 with the intention to acquire the main assets of Saab Automobile AB from the bankruptcy estate. The acquisition was finalized on August 31, 2012. NEVS is wholly owned by National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd., parent company of State Power Group.
National Electric Vehicle Sweden AB, abbreviated as Nevs, is a Swedish holding company, which has acquired the assets of Saab Automobile AB, Saab Automobile Powertrain AB, and Saab Automobile Tools AB from a bankruptcy estate. Nevs is majority owned by British Virgin Islands-registered, Hong Kong-based, National Modern Energy Holdings Ltd., an energy company with operations in China, Macau, and Hong Kong.
In May 2012, Nevs announced that it had submitted a bid for Saab Automobile's bankruptcy estate, and planned to run an electric vehicle business at the Saab factory in Trollhättan, Sweden. On September 3, 2012, it was announced that National Electric Vehicle Sweden had finalized its purchase of Saab Automobile's bankruptcy estate.
