Barber joined Cardinal Health in 2017 as the head of the quality organization for the pharmaceutical distribution and specialty solutions businesses focusing on the safety of the products distributed and regulatory compliance. Barber also led the legal regulatory team that provides regulatory counsel to all business units.
Prior to Cardinal Health, Barber served as a Partner at Quarles & Brady where he led the firm’s DEA Compliance practice. Barber also has extensive government experience serving 12 years as an attorney at the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) in a variety of roles including as Associate Chief Counsel with responsibility for regulatory enforcement actions. Barber also served for 8 years as an active duty Judge Advocate for the U.S. Army and an additional 13 years as a Reserve Officer and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
Barber earned a B.A. degree from Tennessee Temple University and a J.D. from University of Notre Dame Law School.
