Mukesh Ambani is an Indian business magnate who is the Chairman, Managing Director and largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Limited, a Fortune Global 500 company and India's second most valuable company by market value.[5][6][7] He holds a 44.7% stake in the company.[8] He is the elder son of the late Dhirubhai Ambani and the brother of Anil Ambani.
In 2013, he ranked "37 in the list of "The World's Most Powerful People List - Forbes and in "2010, he was included in Forbes's list of "68 people who matter most".[10] As of 2013, he is India's richest man and second richest man in Asia.[11] Ambani is listed as the 19th richest person in the world with a personal wealth of $19.6 billion.[12] He has retained his position as the India's richest person for the sixth year in a row.[13] Through Reliance, he also owns the Indian Premier League franchise Mumbai Indians. In 2012, Forbes named him as one of the richest sports owners in the world.[14][15]
