Sapnesh Lalla is the CEO of NIIT Limited and serves on its Board of Directors. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Sapnesh headed NIIT’s Global Corporate Business, which constitutes nearly seventy percent of NIIT’s global business. As President of the group, he has led critical initiatives for the expansion of the company in North America and Europe through significant acquisitions, including Cognitive Arts and Element K. Under his leadership, NIIT has grown to become an established learning outsourcing solutions provider with its Managed Training Services offering in these markets.
Sapnesh joined NIIT in 1992 and has a long and accomplished tenure at the company. He started his career as a Project Lead in the Learning Content Development team in 1992. Over time, he has held various management and leadership roles in product management, customer support, channel development, sales, and support functions. He relocated to the United States in 1996 as a Group Consultant. In 2006, Sapnesh was appointed the President of NIIT (USA), Inc. and has since been an integral part of the CEO's leadership team. Sapnesh and the leadership team of the corporate business have spearheaded the rapid growth of NIIT as an industry-recognized, global market leader in learning outsourcing.
Sapnesh is an Electronics and Communications Engineer from Bangalore University and received his Executive Education at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. Sapnesh is a part of the Managing Director’s Quality Club and the only NIITian who has the distinction of receiving the coveted Global Leadership Award twice in 2001 and 2010.

In 2006, the IT services business of NIIT was demerged into a separately listed company NIIT Technologies.[4] NIIT Limited now focuses on Corporate Training, Vocational Training for Services Sectors and Education and Training in Schools. NIIT Limited owns 23.98% of NIIT Technologies.[5]
