On May 26, 2018 I purchased a 2018 CVO limited, FLHTKSE. While I was driving home I heard a loud knocking sound. I immediately pulled over and the dealer came to tow it away. After two days, I was told the bike had a snap ring(?) that wasn't seated properly.... Long story short I bought a $43K motorcyle only to have it break down while driving it on its maiden voyage. I have 27 miles on the bike and it is already sitting in the shop. I was told a gear cassette is needed and it will take approximately 8-10 days for the part and then a day or so to install...on a $43K motorcycle! This is completely unacceptable, I know this isn't the norm for Harley, but on my last bike, 2014 Limited, the gear shifter shaft broke as did a friends of mine. On my 2009 CVO FatBob, the tank was loose when I picked it up. I always thought of HD and HD dealers to be the cadillac of motorcycles but my trust and confidence in your products and to a much smaller extent, your dealers, have diminished greatly. Can I get full refund, whats my recourse? The loss of a much needed transportation vehicle is hurting us. I bought the bike to commute and tour, right now I cannot do either.
