Dave A. Hager, 58, was elected by the board of directors to the position of president and chief executive officer, effective Aug. 1, 2015. His previous roles with the company were chief operating officer and executive vice president of exploration and production. Hager served as a member of Devon’s board of directors from 2007 until 2009, when he joined the company as an employee. Mr. Hager began his career in the oil and gas industry in 1979 as exploration geophysicist with Mobil Oil Corporation. He has joined Sun Oil Co., predecessor of Oryx Energy Company in 1981. He served as Vice President of US Offshore Operations of Oryx Energy Co. since September 4, 1997 and also served as Project Director of New Areas Exploration and Production. From December 1995 to September 1997, he served as Director of Operations Planning of Drilling and Facilities Engineering. He has been a Director of Pride International Inc. since February 25, 2008. He has been Independent Director of Enlink Midstream Manager LLC, Managing Member of EnLink Midstream, LLC since March 7, 2014.
