Mr. David M. Velazquez, also known as Dave, has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Pepco Holdings since March 23, 2016. Since 2009, Mr. Velazquez has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Atlantic City Electric Co, Delmarva Power & Light Co and Pepco. He has been Chief Executive Officer and President at Potomac Electric Power Co. since 2009. He served as an Executive Vice President at Pepco Holdings, Inc. from March 2009 to March 23, 2016. Mr. Velazquez served as an Executive Vice President of Power Delivery at Pepco Holdings, Inc. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Pepco Holdings Inc. of Pepco Energy Services Inc. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Conectiv Energy Holding Company, a subsidiary of Pepco Holdings Inc. from January 2007 to February 28, 2009 and President from June 2006 to February 2009. He has extensive experience in the competitive wholesale energy business. He served as a Chief Operating Officer of Conective Energy of Pepco Holdings, Inc. from June 13, 2006 to December, 2006. He joined Delmarva Power in 1981 and has worked in a number of management positions in operations, engineering and planning. He served as a Vice President of PHI from February 2005 to June 2006 and as Chief Risk Officer of PHI from August 2005 to June 2006. From July 2001 to February 2005, he served as a Vice President of Conectiv Energy Supply, Inc., an affiliate of PHI. He served as Vice President of Strategic Planning of Pepco Holdings Inc. until June 13, 2006. He serves as a Director of Potomac Electric Power Co. He served as a Member-at-large of Executive Committee at The Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA). He is a graduate of Widener University with a B.S. degree in Engineering.

Velazquez is responsible for leadership of Pepco Holdings’ overall performance associated with service reliability, customer satisfaction, financial management, and regulatory and external affairs.
